YOUR DATA
Privacy.
This pilot of OpenMAIC is intended for teachers. It is not designed to collect students’ personal data.
Information we use
Your email address is used to sign in. We store account and session information, your documents and courses, and the counters needed to enforce allowances. When subscriptions are enabled, we store payment references and status; card details are handled by the payment provider.
Your documents and AI
Content you submit may be sent to the AI and document-processing providers configured for the service to create your course. Do not upload student names, identifiable student work, health data or confidential information. You must have the necessary rights to uploaded documents.
Providers and hosting
Resend is used for sign-in emails. Waffo Pancake will handle payments when enabled. Your institution should review hosting and AI services before using personal data. This page does not claim GDPR certification or exclusively European hosting.
Retention and your rights
Courses are kept until their owner deletes them. Copies may temporarily remain in backups after deletion. Sessions expire after seven days and sign-in links after ten minutes. Billing references may be retained to meet applicable obligations.
To exercise your rights or close your account during the pilot, contact the administrator who gave you access to the service.
Cookies
The service uses session cookies and language and appearance preferences. This version adds no advertising tracking or marketing-list signup.
